CHESTER KINDERGARTEN SCREENING
Friday, April 17th, 2026
• The Chester Area School will conduct its annual screening at the elementary building on Friday, April 17th, 2026, starting at 8:20am
• If you have a child who will be five years old on or before September 1, 2026, call Melissa at the school (605-489-2412) to arrange a screening time.
• Please plan on at least 1 hour for your appointment.
• Bring a state-issued copy of your child’s birth certificate (not a hospital copy) and a current record of immunizations
• The screening is free: Motor development, readiness skills, speech and language, and a health assessment will be provided
CHILD FIND
It is a state law that school districts are responsible for offering educational assistance to all children from birth to age 21. If you know of anyone in the district who may be in need of special services, please contact the school for an appointment (489-2412).
