Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,
Are you ready to read for the gold in the Reading Olympics? During the weeks of
February 9 and the 16, your child will be participating in an at-home reading challenge.
Your child will read at home, and you will help them track their minutes on the weekly
tracking sheets provided.
Since it is cold outside, this is a fun way to promote reading and have a little friendly
competition among the grades.
Students can earn a medal by reading a required number of minutes-the reading goal is
attached along with the reading tracking sheets. The grade with the highest medal count
will also receive a class treat!
Please remember to send your weekly tracking sheet back at
the beginning of the following week, so we can track the medal count for each grade.
Have fun! Go for the gold and happy reading!
